Jury's Done Out

Jury's done out if'n pain is gain

For da mind is culprit dat guides da train

Of measure...

Trackin' da 'sation gits tunes mighty fine

Den a bang-big flower meets da eye so inclin'd

Way' unner-deep, ders uh marvelous rig...

A net-thang set down impos'bly big

Yep! plumb down plops itse'f on galdurn track

Threat'ning big smack if pain don't turn back

What left 'ta do but reh'valuate

Da wah-wah! speed uh da 'rig'nal sensate

Dis here mind-thangs snappy de come

Take that thar pain dunno where from

Makin it spread way out roun'

Den da threatnin' fear 'vap'rate o' drown

Dat net-thang do sum floty-toty on da track

An' go sum whar in da air or out da back

Eh! Pain ain't nothin' ify lose da big smack

Dunno where it g'yne nur w'en it be back

But my thang's not ta won'er, nur fret 'bout dat

Pro'bly gwyn'  back ta  da er'lastin' farshack

Ta wait ta scare others thet come up da galdurn track

I dunno; it no

Bit into a Kiwi

I bit into a kiwi
Yike! Taste full-on the sea
Lovely greenish yellow fruit
Was expectantly buds mute

Clear the linger-pungent smell
Bereft pleasantry foretell
Must not be the sweet delish
But other-else tucked in the dish

Suffice it ultimate to say
All senses frequently doth play
They aren't a final boss, you see
For memories trump them easily

What I love most, my friend primo
(Alas! Kiwi to fade its glow)
Is to live in awesome rapt surprise
Foolishly, not wealthy-wise

What Great! The Magnus Whim of God!
To give expectancy the prod
Transform the thought ord'nar-bent
Into really fine cool wonderment!

A Frosty Paraphrase

Two paths in a wood diverge
I take the one less traveled
A savory word
Makes all the difference

Willa Cather

Willa Cather

Landlover heartfelt
Revealer storyart
Precise tapaweave
Word threads
Tinted delicately
Fine earthtones

Mesmerize tolife
My Antonia
Death Comes for
the Archbishop
O Pioneers!
Heroes dreamt
Through landscape

Vibrating colors
Waft swaying
Prairie longgrasses
Scorching dusty
Burntdesert

The Family Rises and Sets with the Sun

At dawn protected by the still warm earth

In light guided by the consummate joy of progeny

At twilight comforted by the evolving tree of life

In darkness sustained by the bright warmth of the hearth

In God's bower enlivened beyond quality and action

LA CORELA ROJA

Eres el pájaro pintado
Que pulpita en mi corazón
Con una promesa bendita
De la dulce migración natal

You are the precious painted bird
Who flits and flutters in my heart
A pulsating promise of the
Sweet migration home

ON SEEKING TRUTH: ANOTHER

You, joy-filled fragrant scent
I breathe in at every pore
Eye molds golden spiral form
Laser-etched into my core

Ear channels sound, drum throbs
Alerts the tongue-sweet taste
Siren touches, up soar I
To fit Odysseus' space

Heart plunges ahead, pathfinder
Plumbs the breath-veiled gate
Guide signals ready the match
Yon flutters exqusite mate

Expecting no punctual meeting
Of understanding mind
Soluble, dissolved, so fleeting
Logic, sequence, time

Nor hoping any imagined thing
Nor gain of lofty thought
But truth 'twined round a solitary ring
Of seeker, seeking, sought

Level upon level pentrating
Grace opens responsive expands
Looms Another: precious, sweet gem
Thou denizen of Holy Land

Slipping eternal breath-veiled crack
Arrests valiant journey-spent heart
I-Another 'last merge, one whole
Set within discretly apart

Who am I, Thou art thee
Bask fountains immortal youth
Boundless, universally free
Communion splays sacred truth

KOAN (for one or two)

Rest thy burning eye
In my cool waters
The sun at zenith
Warms the day

A MOTHER'S COUGH
(The Heart's Sound)

I hear my mother cough,
Chord deep within so soft
Alerts me to life's fragile gift
Of love set free toward heav'n to drift
Wafts me sweetly to God's rest
On cushion of her nectared breast

What hath God wrought the world around
With such sacred unstruck sound?

ON NATURE: A MOTHER'S TEARS

Gentle pitter, gentle pat
Down the 'pider pout
Liquid pendants trickle splash
Streaming from dear Mother's lash.

Gentle pitter, gentle pat
Down the 'pider pout
Washing, rinsing, downward rush,
Streaking fresh her vibrant blush.

Gentle pitter, gentle pat
Rat-ta-tat-tat-ping-plop
Baby pores nudged open burst
Quenching earth's inherent thirst.

Gentle pitter, gentle pat
Rat-ta-tat-tat-ping-plop
Grey dawn hints the lyrical hue
Inspired hymn portends anew

Gentle pitter, gentle pat
Rat-ta-tat-tat-ping-plop
Awakened cock strikes mighty chord
Stretching herald good news of Lord

Gentle pitter, gentle pat
Down the 'pider pout
Teardrops discrete voice solo prayer
Welcoming warmth into her lair

Gentle pitter, gentle pat
Up comes poppa sun
Resplendent glory reigns supreme
Long awaited mother's dream

Gentle chirping, gentle warbling
At zenith poppa sun
Fragrant alfalfa, corn knee high
Pouty 'pider spins to dry

THE CHANTED FOREST of AUM

Aum

Sacred forest I chant thee Appear
Nurture those who lend an ear
Give them wisdom's mighty root
Heaven's top hat now earthly boot

Aum

Sacred forest I chant thee Abide
Nurture those who step aside
Foregone robotic plastic-tin
Enliven sustenance within

Aum

Sacred forest I chant thee Real
Nurture spirits who doth appeal
As tender saplings praise the sky
Without question how or why

Aum

Sacred Forest I chant thee Life
Nourish wayfarers' weary strife
Dance your branches to entwine
Lyrical magic harmony thine

Aum

Sacred Forest I chant thee Refresh
Travellers thirsting on their quest
Verdant moss sips glistening dew
May seekers lap thy nectar true

Aum

Sacred Forest I chant thee Glee
Entone the fearful to be free
Venture them to roar and jig
As tigers hid 'neath tiny twig

Aum

Sacred Forest I chant thee Green
Murmur heartfelt love supreme
Sun, thy mate, respondsive claim
Smiles its power gently tame

MOTHER'S CHAIR

You sit in your chair
I sit in mine
Your hands, my digits'
lair
Your touch, my brush with air

Your precious eye sights mine
We see light, the bright of day
No passage time to slip away
Nor separation stay the day

Communes our one-soul essence
Beloved permeates the space
Heart's sweetest bough to reach, entwines
Art's treasure, golden, Thine and mine

You sit in your chair
I sit in mine
Together absolutely!
You and I

top

FATHER'S CHAIR

You sit in your chair
I sit in mine
Perfectly symmetric,
Congruent, not same

God says, "Stop! This is the place
Now make peace with time and space"
Rendevous at orthogonal point
Where you two were originally joint

No more place nor space of two
Bindu the target, void sweet rue
Gone past memories, family tree
Future relegates probability

You sit in your chair
I sit in mine
One pure knowingness
Shared by whos

A BROTHER'S BIRTHDAY

Although the 11th hath thee feted past
By time this note strike eye at last
Fret not forgot thy precious self
For I have thought of no one else

Since day I born your little sis
And followed thee in life's mischief
Scolding, telling thee how to be
To govern adventure moderately

Thou hast genteely blazed the trail
Where angels tried to no avail
Conquerored the dragons, set thyself free
White Knight returned by example teach me

And others your hearty wisdom imbibe
Instead of alcohol and injurious vibes
That make life the pits, really dumb hell
If not lived rationally falsifiably well

Thou art honored cherished mate
Who comes to Earth to share my fate
To dull illusion of lone despair
Constant struggle, no one there

I celebrate thee the event filled day
Thy Light, the companion on my way

LA VASIJA DE BARRO
(Canción de los Incas)

Yo quiero que a mí me entieren
En una vasija de barro
Yo quiero que a mí me entierren
Como mis antepasados

La vasija encinta mi alma
Tan listo para volar
La vida tras vida pasado
Ya es hora de salir

Me reuno en la Matríz
Liberación final
Me reuno en la Matríz
Como mis antepasados

Earthen Jar
(Incan Chant)

I want you to bury me
In a jar of earthly clay.
I want you to bury me
Like my ancestors of old.

The jar encircles my Soul
So ready now to fly
Many lifetimes have passed
Now it's time to leave.

I return to the Holy Womb
Reunion finally
I return to the Holy Womb
Like my ancestors of old.
