To Jamaica with Love  early beginnings

I knew my origin in Montego Bay, Jamaica. There I languished waiting for someone to whisk me up and away. One day my soulmate happened by, recognized me, and had to have me. I knew my luck had changed. I have always been beautiful as well as useful. My smooth rich red-brown skin pleases the eye; and I am a great companion. I had no doubt from the beginning that I would see the outside world. And it came to pass.

By now I have had many worldly experiences. I live in a home many miles from my Montego Bay. My scuffed but sleek leather body has been gaily decorated with all types of stickers from many places around the world. I elicit the respect and importance of a mega-star general. Even though I am hibernating on the shelf at present, I am not sad like I was in Jamaica. For I know my time has been well spent. I rest easy steeped in poignant memories.

My soulmate continually plans thrilling new events, but now for my progeny. They, the young ones, like to be pulled and pushed around.  They waddle like ducklings behind their mother. Some even ride piggyback! They share their escapades with me in the 'dream-travel.'  What puffed up buldging-pouched seasoned travelers they are!, They would hardly be respectible in my day.  I, old granny, still beautiful as well as useful, can talk up a storm in the 'dream-travel.'  The images I create enchant the earth and beyond endlessly--certainly more than a snippet thousand and one nights!
